Arrow Level 20 n00b has some questions!

I got this game about 2 1/2 weeks ago and am a good part of the way through the game as a N/Mo. (Ring of Fire) But I am still a noob; for example I found out only yesterday that runes don't stack. (which I think is really dumb)

Needless to say, I have a few questions.

What is a good weapon (set) for me, a N/Mo? I've been using a truncheon and an idol or grim cesta, but is there anything better? Can truncheons be upgraded? Optimally I want something that gives bonuses to either blood magic or soul reaping, as well as healing prayers.

I have what I consider to be pretty good armor, a Necromancer's Tunic with 60 armor and +5 to energy; am I wrong? Does this actually suck for where I am in the game? What is this mysterious "15k" armor? Is it for necros and is it that good? An armor set I am interested in is the one Eve[Cultist Henchman] wears. Can a player obtain it? where?

I am trying to mix dyes to make pink, but to no avail. What is the formula for a standard, hello-kitty-shade pink? I know there are 3 formulas for necros: face scar, armor, and body scar. I figured out the face scar, but need help with the other two.

Where can I sell my stuff? Is there a really good place to sell crafting materials? What about other items?

Whew. Those are all of the questions I have. (for now)

You can find better truncheons/offhands as drops that give bonuses. You just have to find/buy them.

You can sell crafting materials to the material traders in some cities (Ascalon, Lion's Arch)

The 15k armor is found in one of the outposts in the South Shiverpeaks. Search the forum, you'll probably be able to figure out which one has the necro armor. As for mixing to make pink, there was a thread recently about how necro scars dye, so you could try searching for that. Selling crafting materials, there are two things you can do. Either you can sell to the material trader, which is found at every city, or you can sell to people, which takes time and I find it quite boring, but some people don't mind it. As for other items, most weapons are usually sold to other people via the trade channel. I hope that helped.

If runes stacked you'ld see people with 3 minors, giving them the same effect as a superior without the negative hitpoints.

How would that happen if you only have 5 pieces of armor?

1 rune per piece of armor. If you have a minor vigor on ur pants. and a major vigor on ur chest. then u would only get the effects of the major since it is the higher one. So in total you can have 5 runes on you. me personaly i put them on the cheapest stuff to replace first incase i want to change them

Yes they do.

Alright, maybe I was hasty in saying that runes not stacking is a bad thing.

Can anyone help with improving my skill set as a healing Necromancer? Here are my skills: Vampiric gaze, Life Transfer, Awaken the Blood, Demonic Flesh, Healing Breeze, Heal Party, (my primary healing spell) Restore Life, and Signet of Capture. (just in case)

I heal, a lot. At first I picked monk for my 2nd class because I wanted to heal myself; out of neccesity, I began healing everyone else as well. I also happen to be very fond of blood magic, vampiric abilities to be exact.

I want to be as efficient at healing the party as a whole, while still being able to deal a reasonable amount of damage.

My attribute distribution is 13 blood mag, (base 10) 11 soul reaping, (base 10) and 10 healing prayers.

Any suggestions?

PS: Thanks to those who have already supplied their wisdom!

My N/Mo pretty much dumped all his necro stuff for PvE. I found it a ton easier to just announce on chat that I am a healer and bang, 10 invites. In the odd situation, I will act as a energy battery for real monks and elementalists. I've actually main healed for many groups, even the Hells Precipice mission. All you're missing is the divine bonus, not a huge deal in most cases but noticeable sometimes. What was really nice about being a N/Mo in Hell's precipice was the ability to use a blood well to negate the constant burning our warriors were enduring and throwing an energy regen on the E/Mo healer

It all changes for PvP of course.

You may want to consider a staff for your weapon. They do come with modifiers that a Necromancer would find useful. They can also have modifiers added (Staff head, Staff Wrappings) which a Truncheon cannot.

The one I'm not so sure about is Heal Party. I use it as a monk, but as a monk secondary I don't think I'd recommend it. It takes a decent chunk of time, takes 15 energy, and doesn't heal each person for all that much. To each his own, I guess, but I personally only bring the skill when I know there are enemies that deal damage to the entire party or most of it.

NPC armor is unique to that NPC and is not obtainable by human players as far as I know. I could be wrong though.

Your partly right there, armor for most NPCs cant be obtained by characters, but some can, im sure iv seen people with Master Ranger Nentes armor, i think its the 15k version of Studed Leather. But im not certain on this either.
